Recruitment and Equality Supported by e-Learning
Learning Industries have been commissioned by Pontypridd & Rhondda NHS Trust to develop two new e-learning modules on Recruitment and Equality. The e-learning modules will support the Trusts' HR policies and procedures by providing appropriate training in these important areas.
The Recruitment and Selection e-learning module will detail the Trusts recruitment procedure, covering legislation and policy; post definition and advertising; application and short listing; interviewing techniques; candidate screening and appointment.
Equality and diversity training will be provided both within the context of the recruitment and selection process and within the wider and general context of employment within the Trust.
The Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities e-learning module will cover legislation, policies and procedures; valuing and promoting diversity; identifying discrimination; preventing and reporting discrimination.
The e-learning package will be developed to provide training covering the requirements at Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Knowledge and Skills Framework, under the NHS Agenda for Change. It is anticipated that the Level 1 equality and diversity e-learning will be incorporated within a wider corporate induction e-learning package being developed by Learning Industries. Levels 2 and 3 will be covered by the standalone modules on Recruitment & Equality and will be provided to both new and existing members of staff, as identified via an appropriate training needs analysis.
The e-learning package will be supported by Learning Industries e-Learning Administration system, to provide user management, progress tracking and attainment monitoring facilities.
The e-learning package can be supplied to other NHS Trusts or adapted for use in other organisations. Welsh NHS Trusts may apply to join a consortium. For more information please contact Learning Industries.
