Prescribing e-Learning Goes Down Under
The Learning Industries' In-Patient Medication Prescribing & Administration e-Learning package has been commissioned by the National Prescribing Service Limited, Australia. The package is currently being customised to meet the requirements of the Australian service and will be delivered to doctors in hospitals across Australia, to support the use of their national drug chart.
The original package, developed in Wales in collaboration with the Welsh Chief Pharmacists Group, was part of the project that won the UKCPA/Pfizer Patient Safety Award 2005. The package is also currently being adapted for other regions within the UK.
"This is a great achievement for both Learning Industries and the Welsh knowledge economy", said Dr Rob Lloyd, "this is the first international sale for the company and an excellent example of Wales exporting its expertise and innovative approach to a challenging problem."
