Hereford Medication Chart e-Learning
Learning Industries are working with Hereford Hospitals NHS Trust to develop an e-learning package to provide training on the use of the Trust's In-Patient Medication Chart.
The company has been commissioned to develop a revised version of the In-Patient Medication Prescribing and Administration e-Learning package, originally developed for Welsh NHS Trusts, tailored to the Trust's own drug chart.
Learning Industries are working with the Trust's Pharmacy Department, clinical staff and postgraduate training coordinators to customise the e-learning package to reflect the Trust chart, medicines code and local prescription writing standards. The package is also being extended to provide an increased focus on drug administration standards and procedures and to cover additional issues, including the administration of drugs under patient group direction and the prescription of flushes and medical gases.
The e-learning package will be incorporated into the Trust's postgraduate medicines management training programme; being delivered to clinical staff throughout the Trust. The Learning Industries e-Learning Administration System will also be installed to support the delivery of the training by enabling managers to track user progress and attainment in built-in online assessments.
