Stress Management in Specialist Healthcare Services
Velindre NHS Trust have commissioned the Learning Industries’ Stress Management e-Learning package to deliver important awareness training to frontline staff; and training on the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) Stress Management Standards to managers within the Trust.
Velindre NHS Trust provides a range of specialist healthcare services across Wales; including the National Public Health Service; antenatal, breast and cervical screening services; specialist cancer services; and the Welsh Blood Service. The Trust has a large geographically dispersed workforce, delivering critical healthcare services throughout Wales, both on a local and national basis.
The Learning Industries’ Stress Management e-Learning package was originally developed for the health sector, but has since been repackaged for the police service and for delivery within higher education. Under the commission by Velindre NHS Trust the package will now be customised to the precise requirements of this specialist healthcare provider. Learning Industries are working in partnership with training, health and safety and risk management staff from within the Trust to tailor the package. As part of this process, the package will also be aligned with the IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) stress training curriculum.
