description:

The Major Incident Awareness e-Learning module provides training for NHS staff on their organisation's planned responses and arrangements for dealing with major incidents and emergencies.

The module provides an awareness of the different types of emergencies, and of the emergency planning process; and details the roles, responsibilities and function of hospitals and other emergency services in the event of a major incident. The module also describes the specific arrangements for the provision of healthcare in an emergency situation and deals specifically with the management of chemical, biological, radiation and other contamination incidents.

The package can be used with the Learning Industries e-Learning Administration System to provide learner management, user tracking and recorded assessment or can be packaged for delivery in third-party SCORM-compliant Learning Management Systems.
