Prescribing and Administration e-Learning

The Prescribing and Administration e-Learning module promotes good practice and the appropriate application of standards in the use of medication charts for prescribing and recording the administration of medicines within acute and mental health hospital environments.
The package has been designed to be used by doctors, pharmacists and nurses and can also be used as part of a clinical induction programme or final year pre-clinical training.
This package was originally developed on behalf of and in collaboration with the All-Wales Chief Pharmacists Group to support the roll-out of the new all-Wales Drug Chart and Common Prescription Writing Standards. The package was part of the overall project which won the UKCPA / Pfizer Patient Safety Award 2005.
The package can be used with the Learning Industries e-Learning Administration System to provide learner management, user tracking and recorded assessment or can be packaged for delivery in third-party SCORM-compliant Learning Management Systems.
