The Controlled Drugs e-Learning module promotes the safe, secure and effective management of controlled drugs in NHS, mental health and social case settings.

The package introduces the risks and accountability for controlled drugs; describes the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and controlled stationery; and illustrates best practice in the ordering, receipt, storage, key holding, prescribing, administration and stock keeping of controlled drugs; including legislative changes resulting from the Shipman Inquiry.

The package can be used with the Learning Industries e-Learning Administration System to provide learner management, user tracking and recorded assessment or can be packaged for delivery in third-party SCORM-compliant Learning Management Systems.
