The Dispensing for Discharge e-learning module provides training for nursing, pharmacy and clinical staff on the assessment, management and use of Patient's Own Drugs (PODs) during admission, treatment and discharge.

The module covers the requirements, procedures and checks for using patient's own drugs during admission, for dispensing individual medication supplies during an in-patient stay, and for checking discharge prescriptions and supplies.

The module incorporates a formal assessment of competency for checking patient's own drugs on admission and at discharge.

The package can be used with the Learning Industries e-Learning Administration System to provide learner management, user tracking and recorded assessment or can be packaged for delivery in third-party SCORM-compliant Learning Management Systems.
