Protection of Vulnerable Adults e-Learning for Alerters, Referrers and Investigators

South Birmingham Primary Care Trust are working with Learning Industries to create two Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults e-learning packages.
The PCT requires safeguarding training to be delivered in two parts: an introductory module aimed at raising awareness of safeguarding issues across a wide audience; and a more detailed module which covers the roles of alerters, referrers and investigators in the safeguarding process. The content will be illustrated by a wide range of case studies.
Specific areas that the modules will cover include: What is Abuse, Signs of Abuse, Intervention, Responding to Alerts, Strategy Meetings and Adult Case Conferences.
The work with South Birmingham will complement the six existing versions of the Learning Industries' Safeguarding Adults e-learning module. These modules are currently being used by over thirty public sector organisations across the UK.
