e-Learning for Welsh Language and Bilingual Healthcare
Hywel Dda NHS Trust has commissioned an e-learning package for Welsh Language, designed specifically to promote the use of Welsh to improve patient care.
Learning Industries are working closely with Subject Matter Experts from Hywel Dda NHS Trust, who are providing source content, advice and case studies for the development of the module. This work will result in a Welsh Language e-Learning module dedicated to healthcare.
The package is designed to increase understanding of the role that the Welsh language plays in improving patient care. The content illustrates how Welsh speakers, Welsh learners and non Welsh speakers can all facilitate bilingual care within healthcare services. The package will also help individuals to develop basic Welsh language skills: encouraging and helping staff to use Welsh language in work situations.

- Using Welsh
