Epidural and Patient Controlled Analgesia e-Learning
Mater Private Hospital, Dublin has commissioned an e-learning package on the safe and effective management of post-operative epidural infusions and patient controlled analgesia (PCA).
The package will provide underpinning knowledge in the use of epidural and patient controlled analgesia; including anatomy, physiology, indications, contraindications and medication. The package will also provide procedural training on use of the equipment, hygiene, monitoring, assessment (sensory and motor block) and complications associated with these therapies.
Learning Industries are working closely with subject matter experts from Mater Private Hospital, who are providing source content and expert advice for the development of the module.
