Medicines Management Mini-Modules
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust have commissioned a new series of e-Learning mini-modules to support improved medicines management practices.
The short, punchy modules will each take about thirty minutes to complete. Each module will cover key aspects of:
- Safe and secure handling of medicines
- Controlled Drugs
- Medicines Reconciliation
- Prescribing Standards in Practice
- Safe Administration Practices
- Medication Incidents
Learning Industries are also working with Oxford Health to develop a new overview module that promotes the importance of NHS staff understanding the legal framework that controls their handling of medicines. Completion of the module will ensure staff recognise the importance of working within the law, their codes of practice and local policies and procedure.
Using the mini-modules approach ensures that the content can be carefully tailored to suit a wide ranging audience: spanning medical receptionists through to consultant surgeons.
The mini-modules are currently under development and will be completed later this year.
