Our Mental Health e-learning packages cover mental capacity, the Mental Health Act, Clinical Risk Assessment, the management and use of controlled drugs and requirements and procedures for rapid tranquillisation.
Mental Health Act e-Learning
An e-learning module introducing the Mental Health Act and the 'Sections' used for the compulsory admission of civil patients; the detention of forensic (criminal) patients; the treatment of patient with or without consent; and the treatment of patients under Community Treatment Orders (CTOs).
Controlled Drugs e-Learning
An e-learning module covering all aspects of the management of controlled drugs for staff within the NHS, mental health and social care settings; covering CDs stationery, ordering, receipt, storage and key holding, prescribing, administration, stock keeping and PODs.
Rapid Tranquillisation e-Learning
An e-learning module covering the safe and appropriate use of rapid tranquillisation within mental health settings; covering the planning, precautions, assessment, escalation and decision to use rapid tranquillisation; medication, monitoring and managing adverse effects.
Clinical Risk Assessment e-Learning
An e-learning module introducing the concepts of clinical risk, clinical risk assessment and clinical risk management. The module illustrates the procedures and tools used within the screening and assessment process; and identifies the methodologies for accurate history taking and information gathering.
Mental Capacity Act e-Learning
An e-learning module providing training to health and social care staff on the requirements and implications of the Mental Capacity Act; covering the principles of the Act, assessing capacity, decision makers, determining best interests and advance decisions refusing treatment.
