Healthcare Support Workers Code of Conduct e-Learning

Healthcare Support Workers Code of Conduct e-Learning

Learning Industries are developing an e-learning package to support the introduction of the Healthcare Support Workers Code of Conduct within Wales.

All Healthcare Support Workers within Wales, whether working in clinical or non-clinical roles, must ensure that their behaviour and conduct meets the standards set out in the Welsh Government’s Healthcare Support Workers Code of Conduct. Managers and employers must also both support and ensure that all Healthcare Support Workers achieve these standards.

The Healthcare Support Workers Code of Conduct e-Learning raises awareness of the new Code of Conduct and the responsibilities of both the healthcare support workers and their employer. The e-learning sets out the standards of accountability, care, collaboration, communication, confidentiality, development and equality expected of healthcare support workers and described how they might be achieved. The package also highlights the requirements for managers supporting healthcare support workers to meet these standards.

The Healthcare Support Workers Code of Conduct e-Learning package is currently being developed on behalf of and in collaboration with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board to deliver training to their staff.
